Romeo and Juliet Quote

..."O heavy lightness,serious vanity,
Misshapen chaos of well-seeming forms,
Feather of lead, bright smoke, cold fire, sick health,
Still-waking sleep, that is not what it is!
This love feel I, that feel no love in this.
Dost thou not laugh?"

This quotation is an example of an oxymoron. Here, Romeo is saying love is suppose to be wonderful, but when you are not loved back, it is not so pleasant. This quote also shows the theme of unrequited love.

Romeo and Juliet's Balcony Scene

But soft! What light through yonder window breaks?
It is the East, and Juliet is the sun!
Arise, fair sun, and kill the envious moon
Who is already sick and pale with grief..

In this famous quote, Romeo is using a simile and is comparing Juliet to the sun. He is saying that she is very pretty, and she would make the moon envy her beauty.
